The Smile Mission Oral Health Outreach Society (SMOHOS) advances access to oral health care by reducing barriers.
Our outreach clinics are our main fundraising events: by bridging the distance gap for people remote communities we generate funds for bursaries so local people with financial barriers can access dental care with dignity in participating dental clinics.
Our primary focus is on preventive dental care, and on-site clinics are provided by an independent dental hygiene practitioners. There is no dentist on site.
Bursaries support people in A Year To Oral Health (AYTOH) programs, where eligible clients obtain personalized preventive and restorative services on a year-long monthly payment plan with SMOHOS funding support.
