As a messaging tool, DocMeIn enables practices to reach patients by email, text message and phone using templates for recurring messages and rules to trigger them that are set up automatically in the course of using the scheduler. Automatic outbound messages are based on triggered on schedule or upon meeting certain conditions. These automated messaging features support new appointment notifications, appointment reminders, cancellation and confirmation notices, recalls and many more.
All of these messages are fully configurable for all communication channels over which they can be delivered: email, text and voice. When setting up message templates, patient's identifying information can be omitted to ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy rules even in their strictest interpretation. You have complete control over the content, delivery channel and schedule for each type of message to each patient. And all messages sent are, of course, available for you to see, so you can always review who received what and when.
