One of the key messaging features of DocMeIn is appointment reminders. When setting up each new appointment, a number of reminder options are available to tailor to different patient preferences. Any combination of email, text and voice reminders can be associated with each appointment, triggered at different times to effectively alert patients to their upcoming appointments and minimize no-shows.

Reminder messages are fully configurable for all communication channels over which they can be delivered: email, text and voice. When setting up message templates, patient's identifying information can be omitted to ensure compliance with even the strictest interpretation of HIPAA privacy rules.
